The other day I went to my favorite hardware store and bought some cans of spray paint…not for a specific reason..probably because they costed 2.50 euros instead of 3.50 as in the big stores.
I bought a red-ruby one and a white one. The white I think I will use it just on a lamp and vase…the red-ruby one though I thiink should end up on a canvas – we are decorating the office so it might be nice to bring in some colors… so I am looking for inspiration and for something doable even by me.

I have been looking for another knitting project for a while and came accross this one on Raverlry with free instructions thanks to Kelly Maher

I have bought a black 80%acrylic 20%wool yarn and I think I will start today on the plane to Milan (I will also experiment my new plastic circular needles).

I have started the project. Luckily I had just bought some circular needles – as  I had to cast on 210 stitches (considering the gauge of my yarn). Not sure if I counted it right.

mmm….I wonder when I will get my hands on a piece of furniture and try some of it. It looks great…

According to the description seems easy enough
1. Sand it
2. Prime it once
3. Glue/Decoupage sheet of thin paper of different sizes and various shades of green
4. Finish it with some transparent varnish

the other day on my flight to Milan I was flipping through the pages of the Airone inflight magazine and this picture caught my eye…

So, you can use Vodka as a Cleaning Agent as follows:

• It is great for cleaning hard stones like diamonds. Just pour some vodka in a dish, take your ring and swish it back and forth. Dry it off and it will give you a beautiful sheen. If it is really dirty, put it in and let it soak a while and then scrub with a toothbrush. After you are done, just swish and dry.
• To remove mold and mildew from caulking, fill a spray bottle with inexpensive vodka and spray it onto the mold and mildew. Let this sit for about 15 minutes. Then, scrub with a toothbrush, if necessary.
• Since we don’t wear beaded clothes too often, it is a shame to pay for dry cleaning. Some beaded clothes are not cleanable and say to spot clean. To freshen these, put some vodka in a small spray bottle and spritz the underarm area and neckline on the wrong side of the fabric. Hang and let air dry.
• If you want to get a sparkling shine on your eyeglasses that don’t have protective coating, spritz with vodka and buff with a soft cloth. Do not use on coated lenses of eyeglasses that suggest that you avoid alcohol based products.
• Because of vodka’s high alcohol content, it is a potent insect killer. Put a little in a spray bottle and squirt the bugs or yourself. They will be on their drunken way.
