Knit

With the yarn on the back of the work (on the side you are not facing), insert the needle into the stitch of the left needle from right to left (on the side facing you). Yarn around counterclockwise and the pull out.

Purl

Bring the yarn on the front of the work (the one facing you) then you put the right needle into the stitch from right to left (on the side facing you). Yarn around counterclockwise and then pull out.

Stockinette stitches

1 row knit and 1 row purl (alternating for needed length)

Stitches worked as they come

It means that you should look at the stitch you are about to work and if it looks like a purl (it has a sort of little knot/bump) you should work it as a purl. If it looks like a knit then you should knit again.
Basically, since when you change needle to work a new row, you see the back of the stitches you have just casted on, if had worked a knit, when you start the new row, it will present itself like a purl and the other way around it.

About me

While I surf the net, walk around the streets, travel I often come across things that catch my eye. This blog will record those things, the projects I will complete and all the ideas I get.

Me…

There is one shop where I am always happy to go...the hardware store. I dont' know why, but I find it very relaxing... just walking around the aisles. I love to see all those pieces of hardware, chains ... trinkets...electrical stuff ... pipes... tubes ... tools ... all of them so full of potential... ready to become something beautiful in the hands of a crafter or an artist.
