Today I was looking through my bookmarks and I found the page of a great tutorial on how to paint a Ikea cabinet. So here it is, thanks to Domino

The starting piece is lacquered.

This is a very nice project to do with kids around valantine’s day to dress a corner of the wall.

I recommend using matching paper (you need to do more than one to look cute)

See instructions here on Martha’s

You will need

* Colorful paper cut in squares (the heart pouche will be sized 2/3 of the square size)
* Hole punch
* Glue
* Ribbon

Tonight I don’t seem to be finding an end to my finds…

I bought some wire at the hardware store…not sure if it is strong enough, will post if I succeed.

By the way, instructions are here

I found this tutorial to make a snow flower pillow.
I love the way the flower is made and i guess you can just use the instructions for the flower and make it as decoration on its own.

I have to try to make it (will it work if hand sewn?)

Thank you Amy Butler

I found this great paper craft project on Martha Stewart web site.

Template and full instructions are on this link. You can also see the video of how it is done by clicking on the image.

Flower and grass I saw this in an art gallery in Melbourne, Derbyshire UK – I loved the tecture of the flowers and of the green grass stitched into the canvas.

Soon more detailed pictures.

About me

While I surf the net, walk around the streets, travel I often come across things that catch my eye. This blog will record those things, the projects I will complete and all the ideas I get.

Me…

There is one shop where I am always happy to go...the hardware store. I dont' know why, but I find it very relaxing... just walking around the aisles. I love to see all those pieces of hardware, chains ... trinkets...electrical stuff ... pipes... tubes ... tools ... all of them so full of potential... ready to become something beautiful in the hands of a crafter or an artist.
